The House of Tears Carvers and the #RedRoadtoDC totem pole made one final stop in the Pacific Northwest before heading south for the Port Angeles to Los Angeles (PA to LA) leg of the Red Road West Tour. The carvers were welcomed by the Chehalis Tribe for their Tribal Days, where they engaged community members in ceremony. The local community contributed to a community mural, curated by artist Melanie Schambach, which is now traveling on this journey to protect Indigenous rights and sacred sites. The Journal of Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater (JOLT) covered the event.
